Smit Bracket JIS F2029 Mooring And Towing Bracket
This is a mostly complete model of a JIS F2029 Smit Bracket. This is for use in arrangements only. I would not fabricate off of this. It was developed from a cutsheet. It has configurations from 52mm nominal dia. chain all the way up to 132mm.
All our Marine Smit Brackets are designed to be compatible with the breaking load of the chain being deployed. The Certificates are available , such as BV, ABS, LR, DNV, NK, RS, IRS .
SMIT Bracket, also known as towing bracket, mooring bracket, is a commonly used marine mooring device welded to the deck. It is made of high grade alloy steel and can withstand loads from 450KN to 4000KN for chain sizes from 28mm to 132mm. The surface is coated with anti-rust primer for good corrosion resistance.
