Marine Bruce Stainless Steel Anchor

Bruce claw anchor is mainly used for a yacht or small boat and is one of the most commonly used yacht anchors. The material of the anchor will be SS316 or steel Q235 as required. The weight will be 2KG to 50KG with the surface of mirror polishing or hot galvanized. Due to its simple construction, the claw anchor is relatively inexpensive when compared to other styles of anchors. Being the shape of an open claw, the design intent was to allow the anchor to tip in any direction when it reaches the bottom and still be able to set properly. The anchor sizing assumes average boat characteristics in average anchoring conditions. 

The Bruce is an excellent all-purpose anchor as it performs well in most sea bottoms including mud, sand, grass, rock, and coral. It sometimes has a hard time penetrating harder surfaces, such as clay. Due to the three-claw design, the Bruce often sets more easily than other anchors. It also resets easily if it is ever broken loose. On the downside, the Bruce has a lower holding power per pound than other anchors, meaning you’ll usually need a larger anchor than say the Delta/Wing.
