What is the process of repairing marine airbags?

1. The scope of repair for marine airbags is the boundary of the grinding surface. The repair area around the crack should be expanded, and hidden damage should not be ignored. The expansion range varies with the type of balloon and the extent of damage, generally ranging from 18-20 centimeters for three layers, 20-22 centimeters for four layers, 22-24 centimeters for five layers, and 24-26 centimeters for six layers. 2. Wipe a portion of the surface for repair until the fiber thread is exposed without damaging it.

3. For long cracks, please suture them with umbilical cord. The pinhole position is about 2-3 cm away from the crack, and the needle spacing is about 10 cm.

4. Clean the surface of the parts to be repaired with gasoline, cool and dry.

5. Apply adhesive. Rubber is prepared by impregnating raw rubber with raw rubber. The weight ratio of raw rubber to gasoline is usually 1:5, and the initial layer should be slightly thinner (the ratio of raw rubber to gasoline is 1:8). After a layer of adhesive dries, apply a slightly thicker layer of adhesive and let it air dry.

6. Seal the crack with a rubber strip with a thickness of 1 mm and a width of 1 cm or more.

7. For longitudinal cracks, first lay a layer of hanging fabric with a width of 10 cm vertically along the direction of the crack.

8. Unfold a longitudinally parallel pressure-sensitive adhesive. Please control the overlapping area around the cracks to be at least 5cm and perform fillet treatment.

9. Spread rubber curtains diagonally. The direction of the curtain must be the same as the diagonal of the capsule wall (or the direction of the reinforcing fibers). The overlap around should be 1 centimeter larger than the previous layer of rubber curtain fabric, and the edges should be rounded.

After using the marine airbag, when storing it, the surface of the airbag must be cleaned and dried first. In addition, as marine airbags are made of rubber, in order to better prevent the vulcanized rubber walls from sticking together, it is also required to apply light calcium powder on the surface of the airbag.

Afterwards, the maintenance of marine airbags requires natural ventilation and placement in a cool room. Special attention should be paid here that the marine airbags must be opened and placed, and must not be stacked. Lifting objects must not be placed on the marine airbags.
