Why are the lengths of anchor chains used on the left and right sides of the ship different .

Our ship is equipped with 25 units of ship anchor chains, with 13 knots on the port side and 12 knots on the starboard side. Can anyone explain why the left and right sides are different?

7. I didn't see any regulations stating that it is acceptable for the starboard side to be longer than the port side (according to the outfitting chart, selecting odd numbers means one longer and one shorter, and even numbers means the same length).

When the number of anchor chains used on the ship is odd, it is stipulated that the left side should have one more section than the starboard side.

But if you install an extra section on the starboard side than on the port side, it doesn't matter, the classification society can also accept it.
